Strikeforce Vets Collide
The evening’s main event pits UFC/Strikefroce veteran Bobby Voelker (30-13) against Strikeforce vet Justin DeMoney (15-7-1).
The two experienced welterweight sluggers have an exciting “kill or be killed” fighting style, with a high percentage of their fights ending well before the final bell.
After going winless across four fights during his tenure in the UFC, Voelker was subsequently cut from his contract in late 2014. The Kansan didn’t let his promotional release squash his determination, however.
The 43-fight veteran has won six out of his last seven bouts since that time. In that stretch, Voelker suffered his lone loss to now-Bellator MMA veteran Zak Bucia in mid-2017.
The other half of the main event, DeMoney, has won two out of his last three bouts, with both victories coming via stoppage due to punches. The 32-year-old has been on a bit of hiatus as of late, with his last bout coming back in 2013.
Since his last in-cage appearance, DeMoney was scheduled to fight on two separate occasions, but neither bout materialized.
Can Carlis Rebound?
In the night’s co-headliner, lightweights Deron Carlis and Garrett Wells square off.
After rattling off four straight wins to kick off his career, Carlis has been a skid as of late. The Kansas has reciprocated his victories by losing his last four bouts. However, MMA fans know a fighter is most dangerous when he has his back up against the wall.
Carlis will certainly be seeking a kill shot come fight night, having finished all four of his professional victories.
His opponent, the 25-year-old Missourian Wells, will be just as hungry, seeking out his first professional win. The 155-pound youngster stands at 6’1” and presents a unique stylistic matchup for any foe placed in his path.
Before the professionals step into the Shamrock FC cage, the future stars of tomorrow partake in the amateur portion of the night.
Not one, but two titles are on the line in the Shamrock FC bantamweight and welterweight divisions respectively.

Bantamweight Title On the Line
In the featured amateur bout of the night, experienced 135-pounder Travis Sumler (8-4-1) battles undefeated prospect Tim Jackson.
Fighting out of Kansas, Sumler is riding a two-fight win streak entering the bout against Jackson. The eight-time Shamrock FC champion is renowned on the Missouri regional scene for his ability to take a fight to the ground and finish it once it gets there. All eight of his professional victories have come via submission.
Like Sumler, Missouri’s Jackson is fond of handling business in a swift manner. Four out of his five professional victories have come inside the distance via strikes.
In his last bout at Shamrock FC 303 in March, Jackson knocked out a highly touted fellow prospect in Corey Beck inside the first round.

More Gold
Even earlier in the evening, the amateur co-headliner features an intriguing 170-pound title matchup, as fourteen-fight amateur Devon Webb (9-5) will lay it all out on the line against Nikolas Folken (5-2).
After starting off his amateur career at 6-4, Webb has been on a roll. The Kansan has won three out of his last four fights, including a 76-second knockout victory in his last bout against Calvin Parrington.
Nicknamed “The Fighting Artist,” Folken is fresh off of back-to-back wins against Lavatris Robinson and Gaviln Brand. He’ll look to make it six wins in seven appearances on Saturday in Kansas City.
Will he win the title, or will he falter under the bright lights of the Shamrock FC cage?
There's only one way to find out.
