Shamrock FC 306 Highlights: Knockouts, Submissions Aplenty
Shamrock FC 306 took over FloCombat, bringing an action-packed night of MMA mayhem with it. Here are the highlights from the event.
Over the course of its ridiculous 306-event run, Shamrock FC built a reputation as one of the most high-energy, action-packed fight promotions in the nation.
At Shamrock FC 306, fans across the globe saw why.
Airing live June 16 right here on FloCombat, the card brought something for the fight fan in all of us. There were one-punch knockouts, bloody, back-and-forth battles, slick submissions, and everything in between.
We should probably start by talking about the production, though. Shamrock FC brings the heat—literally—where theatrics and production value are concerned.
Just check out the pyro that greets the fighters as they walk to the cage.
Why, yes, @Shamrock_FC has pyro. Why do you ask? ? #ShamrockFC306 pic.twitter.com/sKrJqC9F2s

That set the tone, and the fights followed suit.
We had some classic wacky amateur MMA action early, as a series of illegal upkicks paused the fight and prompted the Internet to react as only the Internet can.
YOU CANNOT DO THAT, MAN!!! #ShamrockFC306 (@Shamrock_FC) pic.twitter.com/ZOzghwMlQJ

I used to pull out this same move when my much bigger and stronger cousin tried to hold me down. Perfectly acceptable. https://t.co/IU1Sr1eUSX

Fun.
The night didn't slow down from there.
When Marisa Chavez and Amber Jones took the cage, we were treated to arguably the highlight of the night—and it only took nine seconds.
HOLYSHITHOLYSHITHOLYSHITHOLYSHITHOLYSHITHOLYSHITHOLYSHITHOLYSHITHOLYSHITHOLYSHITHOLYSHITHOLYSHITHOLYSHITHOLYSHITHOLYSHITHOLYSHITHOLYSHITHOLYSHITHOLYSHITHOLYSHITHOLYSHITHOLYSHITHOLYSHITHOLYSHITHOLYSHITHOLYSHITHOLYSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!#ShamrockFC306, y'all. (@Shamrock_FC) pic.twitter.com/I2Ma0kbjGT

Not to be outdone, Devon Webber went HAM in his welterweight title bout vs. Spencer Cox, securing an early takedown, sinking in a rare rear-naked choke/neck crank variation from mount, then backflipping off the cage.
Yes, he stuck the landing.
Finally, in the night's main event, UFC vet Bobby Voelker and Strikeforce vet Justin DeMoney did exactly what fans expected them to do: They stood toe-to-toe and traded shots until somebody went down.
Both men left this one busted up, with Voelker getting hobbled early only to storm back and secure the finish of his own in Round 2.
Leg kicks don't finish fights.
