This Saturday, July 21, one of the finest promotions in the southern United States, Valor Fights, returns for its 51st event—and it is stacked. 

Valor Fights 51 takes place at D3 Elite Mixed Martial Arts Boxing and Fitness in Johnson City, Tennessee, and streams live right here on FloCombat at 7 PM ET.

Fight fans know Valor Fights for its stacked cards, but the promotion really went above and beyond when crafting this one. The card will feature kickboxing, Muay Thai, and both professional and amateur mixed martial arts.

Twenty-six of the region’s finest combat sports athletes will collide, each attempting to prove they are the next up-and-coming prospect to watch.

A MASSIVE Main Event

In the evening’s main event, over 500 pounds of manpower will throw down in a heavyweight slugfest. 

Fresh off his tryout for the Ultimate Fighter 28, fan-favorite Chandler Cole (3-1) will take on undefeated up-and-comer Aaron Bush (4-0). 

If the stakes weren’t high enough already, the Valor Fights heavyweight title will be on the line.

At 23 years of age, the LFA veteran Cole owns one of the highest ceilings of any heavyweight prospect on the planet. The substitute teacher hasn’t gone past the seven-minute mark in any of his four professional appearances thus far. 

Win or lose, it’s clear the big man is willing to live and die by the sword.

Cole’s adversary on fight night, Bush, isn’t the largest heavyweight—only weighing around 230-pounds. However, what he lacks in size, he makes up for in skill. Through four professional bouts, Bush’s record is unblemished, with three bouts ending inside the distance.

Lightweight Standouts Collide

Before the behemoths trade blows, the co-main event pins lightweights Keith Olson (1-0) and Charlie Alexander (2-1) against one another in a potential thriller.

It will be a homecoming of sorts for Johnson City’s Olson. In his pro debut back in January, Olson picked up a quick submission victory over Alexander Riggs.

Olson’s opponent, Alexander, has competed for Valor Fights thrice before. After losing his pro debut at Valor Fights 38, Alexander defeated John Henning at Valor Fights 40 and Lathon Lawson at Valor Fights 48, respectively. He’ll look to extend his win streak to three against Olson.

Undefeated Cole Ferrell Returns

Arguably the best prospect on the entire card isn’t even featured in the top two fights in the bout order. 

Georgia’s Cole Ferrell (5-0) isn’t afraid to speak him mind. The brash and talented 25-year-old fighter has dominated his opposition since his debut back in 2016, and he will let you know it.

His Valor Fights 51 opponent, Dillard Pegg (6-5), will attempt to halt any momentum Ferrell has coming into this one. Pegg is coming off three straight losses, but a win over Ferrell would make many fans and scouts alike forget all about the skid.

It's Primetime, Baby

As if the professional MMA portion of the card wasn’t enough, Valor Fights decided to spoil us all. Former LFA fighter and ACB veteran “Primetime” Adam Townsend will dip his feet in the water in kickboxing, when he takes on Justin Hatcher.

Townsend returned to combat sports last month from a brief hiatus, defeating Kieran Joblin at ACB 88 in Brisbane, Australia. The arena will be packed with the 29-year-old’s family, friends, and fans, as Townsend trains just 25 minutes down the road in Hampton.
