Randy Costa is sending it to the UFC.

The promotion is currently working on a bout which would pair the undefeated Cage Titans staple up with the uber-exciting scrapper Brandon Davis April 13 at UFC 236 in Atlanta, multiple sources tell FloCombat.

Taunton, Massachusetts’s Costa has been a professional since 2015 but had a delayed start to his career. After being scheduled for a pro bout in Bellator MMA in 2015, Costa didn’t end up making his debut until three and a half years later.

A veteran of only four fights, Costa has looked flawless thus far in his pro career. A protege of Joe Lauzon and training partner of UFC contenders Rob Font and Calvin Kattar, Costa has accumulated plenty of hype over the past eighteen months.

His balls-to-the-wall fighting style, laid-back persona, and phenomenal self-promotion make him a prime candidate for any promoter.

“The Zohan” won’t be facing a softball matchup in his promotional debut, however. If you’re going to fight Mississippi’s Brandon Davis, buckle up for a war.

The victor in the most entertaining fight of Season 1 of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, Davis embodies the Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone motto of “Anywhere, any place, anytime.”

In his five UFC bouts (including this upcoming fight vs. Costa), Davis has only had one full camp in his promotional tenure.

After defeating Austin Arnett on the Contender Series, Davis dropped his UFC debut against Kyle Bochniak at UFC 220 in Boston. Less than one month later, Davis returned to the cage to defeat Steven Peterson in the “Fight of the Night” at UFC Austin.

Since that time, Davis has dropped a pair of short notice bouts to Enrique Barzola and UFC featherweight title contender Zabit Magomedsharipov.
