Friday night, everyone’s favorite Missouri-based promotion returned for another exhilarating night of combat sports action.
Shamrock FC 318 took place at the River City Casino in St. Louis, featuring 17 fights of top-notch professional and amateur action. The event aired live and exclusively on FloCombat.
A highly anticipated main event saw home state light heavyweight Ty Flores pick up a big victory against Nebraska’s Erick Murray Jr.
The first round largely consisted of Murray Jr. utilizing his versatile striking arsenal, especially his signature knees, to pick apart Flores. While Murray Jr. had some success in the takedown department, Flores was able to wear down “Dream Chaser” scoring a takedown of his own in Round 2. From there, Flores used his ground-and-pound to take out Murray Jr. via TKO.
In the co-main event, rising star Dustin Lampros continued his dominant ways, picking up yet another first-round finish. The 25-year-old bantamweight blitzed opponent Konner Shewmaker, pummeling his fellow Missourian until the referee jumped in.
“Scrappy” is undefeated in his professional career, currently sitting at 4-0. Each of Lampros’s victories has come inside of two minutes of the first round.
Earlier in the evening, NBC star Derik Scott picked up a victory in his first fight of 2019. Fresh off of winning runner-up on the hit athletic competition show, Titan Games, Scott’s strength proved to be the difference. After a pair of takedowns, Scott was able to get the back mount on opponent Trevon Crawford, get the neck, and clinch the submission via rear naked choke.
