Busan Suspensions: Frankie Edgar Gets Big Layoff
Suspensions laid out after UFC Fight Night.
Frankie Edgar was originally counting on fighting just a month after his bout with the Korean Zombie, but after the fight was over, there was little doubt he’d have to be pulled from his second fight.
Just recently the official word came down that Edgar would be removed from the bout with Cory Sandhagen and his bantamweight debut would be moved back (it was also announced that Sandhagen would not get a new opponent and would simply be removed from the card).
While the withdrawal comes as no surprise, the official post-event suspensions handed out made it 100% necessary. As is standard when the UFC is overseas without a commission to answer to, the company handed down their own suspensions for UFC in Busan. Edgar, along with a handful of others, were given the biggest layoffs - 180 days. Below is the entire list of suspensions.
