Lozano Upsets Martin In The Main Event
Erick Lozano ended his year with a bang…..literally
The 35-year-old fighter needed just two minutes and 11 seconds into the first round to land a highlight-reel knee which sent UFC veteran Terry Martin crashing to the mat out cold. Speaking of Martin, the former UFC middleweight has now lost three of his last five fights by knockout.
Lozano has certainly turned things around this year, winning his fourth fight in 2017 after coming off six straight losses last year. Tonight’s victory has earned him a shot at another UFC veteran in Joe Riggs, who he will face in the main event of KOP 60 in February.
'Bro-Town Phenom' Delivers
Keith Lee, brother of UFC lightweight Kevin “Mo-Town Phenom” Lee, lived up to his co-main event billing.
The 21-year-old bantamweight had a flawless performance against CES veteran Shawn Mack, finishing the nine-fight veteran in in the first round with ground and pound. Once Lee was able to get this fight to the canvas, he maintained control and landed shots at will to earn his third straight win.
In his post-fight speech, Lee said he believes he’s a fight or two away from “the big show” and he certainly made a strong case in his promotional debut.
Mack, meanwhile, has been finished in three of his last four fights.
